Renewing your certification depends on how long it has been expired. Below is the process based on the expiration period:&
If Less than a Month (Under 30 Days)
- You may still renew your certification by paying a small late fee in addition to your renewal dues.
If Less Than a Year (Under 12 Months)
- If your certification has been expired for less than a year, you can pay a reinstatement fee to renew without retaking the exam.
- Additional Continuing Education Units (CEUs) may be required depending on how long it has been expired.
If More Than a Year (12–18 Months Expired)
- You may still be eligible to renew your certification without retaking the exam.
- A reinstatement fee and additional CEUs will be required.
If your certification has been expired for more than 18 months, you will be required to re-register and retake the exam to regain certification.
