The American Heart Association’s (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) course prepares participants to quickly recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies. Through hands-on training, participants learn how to deliver high-quality chest compressions, provide effective ventilations, and utilize an AED promptly and correctly.
BLS/CPR with AED provides: Performing High-Quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
Understanding the AHA Chain of Survival, with emphasis on the BLS components.
Recognizing the Importance of Early AED Use during cardiac emergencies.
Delivering Effective Ventilations using a barrier device.
Applying Team Dynamics during resuscitation efforts and working as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR scenarios.
Providing Airway Obstruction Relief (choking) for both adults and infants.

The American Heart Association Certification (BLS) is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
To obtain your National Credentials, you must: Pass the certification exam with a minimum score of 83%
